Does running your pump on full blast save you any time or yield you any more milk, or am I just torturing my nipples for no reason?

I liked to pump on medium I feel like it gets the most milk out
I learned that it's actually worse to run the pump on the highest setting because although it takes less time it can yield less milk over time. This is because it isn't mimicking a baby sucking it's going to fast, and in order to maintain a good supply, it's best to go on a medium setting. I used to use the high setting too until I learned that.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
