I've been having a very hard time lately. My baby is a little over a week and I feel like I am on the verge of a breakdown. She's has been having a on and off time with staying latched. I feel like I've tried everything in the books to help bad nothing is. I've asked a ton of people and nothing is working. She will latch and then get off and scream and scream and it's been like this on and off for 3 weeks now. I am thinking about having a lactation consultant come to my house but it's is $175 which is pricey for me. My insurance doesn't cover one. I don't want to give up yet but when I have to battle with her to feed her it's hard.
Hey there sorry you're having trouble, but what other moms said, la leche league will help! They have their local phone numbers listed by area in Phoenix, and their cell phones too! Just try calling them and they should respond relatively quickly for you so they can help. Also contact or schedule with your pediatrician and let them know! Ask them for a list or resources for you to help with breastfeeding. My pediatrician gave me a few numbers of local areas for bfing help.
I joined a group that the hospital I gave birth at and it was a LC that did it and that helped me a bunch. Good luck mama! Hang in there, it gets better and I think it was well worth the wait 😀💜💛 @darryanjaye
Hugs mama. You're not alone. Are you able to go to the hospital to see a lactation consultant? Will your insurance cover that? Check with the closest hospital for classes/workshops for breastfeeding. You can also contact baby's pediatrician or your OB for help. Stay strong.
