Ouch! I heard it's painful, but I was completely knocked out when they put mine in. I had it inserted right after a d&c.

Ouch they broke my water n did the same I was in labor 4 3 hours and was at a 5 n I was in bad pain they looked and finally noticed he was feet first yet stuck near my rib cage and took me to emergency c section..he yanked twisted n pulled my son so he would come out...but other than that no birth control due to it only makes my body worse.

I had delivered vaginally twice by the time I got mine and it still just about made me puke getting it inserted. On the plus side, you forget it's even there soon enough. It's been about a year for me now and I can't even remember the last time I checked for strings. I probably should do that... 😂

Oh wow I should of researched before I got it I had the shot for 9 months and bleed the whole time I go back n a month to make sure everything is OK I hope it will be OK we are going to try for another baby n 6 months or so

Sorry you guys had such an awful experience with it. My IUD was pretty simple to put in and remove. I had the mirena. It hurt going in but not for long.

I got one before I had any children and they didn't have to dilate me at all just put it in

It doesn't hurt any more ya my doctor told Me they we're going to dialate me it kind freaked me out lol
