TMI Question
I'm 37 weeks pregnant and for the last two months I wasn't able to reach down to pamper my area when needed. For the last month I've had this bump on my right buttock.
Hear me out because I've never had this before and I don't know if this is worthy of mentioning to OB or I can get something over the counter to treat it.
It's located close to my area but kinda near the crack of my butt. Say you're laying on your back and you reach down as best as you can sorta lifting your right butt cheek and feel a huge bump with your index finger. I had a hand mirror and tried to see how bad it looks considering it's being rubbed against my left buttock. I don't see a pimple head at all. It kinda looks like a broil I think it's called. I haven't messed with it at all except to carefully clean that area when wiping and showering, letting my areas air out. But it hasn't gone down. I just tried to squeeze it as if it is a pimple and some substance came out. Light brown substance but there's still a bump. Kinda lowered but when I squeezed more nothing came out. It's still pretty big. Any of you ladies ever experience this pregnant or not? Anything I can do to get rid of it? It's very uncomfortable...

I'd have to say it is a hemroid and you can get cream for it.. It will go away @jerin

I had a broil in the same area and it hurt to walk. I ended up getting it poped at the hospital. They got all the substance out and sent me home. I still felt it for a couple days but after that it went away.

I didn't know it was that. Lol i thought it was something serious. But they told me what it was and took care of it. @jerin

I figured if it was some terrible pimple or a broil that they'd laugh and send people to a dermatologist. I didn't think hospitals would do things like that lol @ieshapolanco13

Lol ya. It was embarrassing but they poped it for me. They said it kinda looked like it was starting to get infected

How did you approach the problem to them? I don't know what to even say when they'll ask why I'm there

I just said i have something on my leg thats swollen and i have no idea what it is. And it hurts to walk. So they said they were gonna take a look. And they said it was a broil

Yeag that sounds like a boil, we usually sweat more when pregnant am that causes the pores to get infected.an the rubing an chafing only makes it worse. Try using a warm wash cloth or bath to soothe it an it might even drain on its own. But be careful so it doesn't get infected . @jerin I've had this. Before

@jerin if it's a boil try holding a hot wash cloth on it a couple of times. Usually that'll cause them to pop.

I agree it sounds like a boil and I unfortunately experienced them while pregnant 😢 @jerin, the warm/hot wash cloth helps bring them to a "head" to pop and also help ease the discomfort
