I work in a group home with people who have developmental disabilities, most of them also have behavioral issues due to their disabilities and it's a very strenuous job, constantly on my feet and lifting people and getting swung at. I work 75-80 hrs a week and I'm scared that I'm not going to be able to handle this job once I get a little further along and it sucks. I love my job, but how do I balance 80 hrs a week and being sick and the size of Texas? And trying to protect myself and my baby? I need opinions please. I'm stuck.
I would suggest talking about a change in position. I personally do 12 hours days but mine is mainly patient care. If I have kids to give shots to, I ask someone else to do it if they are older or fisty. 80 hours is a lot to be on your feet. Around 20 weeks you will start to feel the true effects of the pregnancy. For you and your babies safety I would say you need a different position once your farther along.
No problem.
