Hello everyone. I went off birth control new years eve and last night and this morning took a test which showed a VERY faint positive line. So now I am panicking as is my boyfriend! How to afford daycare, formula, diapers!

Have been reading on cloth diapers. Didnt use cloth on my first. I like the idea of hybrid disposable diapers but are they really any cheaper? Can the same shell outer diaper be used for more than 1 diaper change? Which brand is best and how do I find a set that grows from newborn to potty training? So many questions!

And then breastfeeding. Im not so sold on it. Didnt breastfeed my first but we are going to be strapped for cash so anything to help financially! Can I pump and only breastfeed occassionally? How long do you have to pump to have a supply for daycare? (Will probably only be able to do 4 weeks off work sadly).

Sooo many questions. But first to switch doctors (as my doctor now is not happy that I am overweight) and get a definite blood test.

Breastfeeding is amazing. I didn't think I could do or would enjoy it. I love our bonding time. I feed her and pump after she is done. I have a small freezer stash so far. I manage to get an ounce from each side in a 10-15 minute session. Depending on how frequently you pump and how much you get would dictate how long until you have a supply for daycare. As far as cloth diapers I follow this page because I was interested. The moms on it are super helpful!

Breastfeeding moms: so I am planning on going on a 3 day vacation with my hubby & a bunch of friends to Catalina in May, (my baby won't be going with us) and I do not wanna be pumping and dumping every 2 hours out there.. so if I don't pump or breastfeed for 3-4 days, will my milk supply drop significantly? 😩😩 & I don't know how I'm gonna deal with the engorgement pain if I can't find time to pump out there.

#mombassadorchat Happy World Breastfeeding Week! Please share your breastfeeding stories and tips! Hi everyone! @kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom here. For today's chat we're going to talk about breastfeeding and pumping in honor of World Breastfeeding Week! Both can seem complicated or stressful, but remember you have lots of support here! With my first son I had things going against us for breastfeeding. I wish I knew back when he was younger that we could have still tried! With my second son I was determined to breastfeed, and even though he was born 11 weeks early I wasn't going to let that stop us from trying to breastfeed! For 7 weeks I pumped every 2 1/2-3 hours on the dot to establish and maintain my milk supply. When your little one is born early they usually need time to master sucking, swallowing, and breathing so I wasn't able to nurse right away. When my son was 33 weeks gestational (so 4 weeks old) we were finally able to latch on, and he did great! By 36 weeks gestational we had successfully started breastfeeding, and today marks 21 months of actual at-breast breastfeeding for us! I am passionate in trying to help moms-to-be and moms with breastfeeding and/or pumping, but I support moms who choose not to or for other reasons cannot breastfeed. Remember, I mentioned I didn't breastfeed my first son. I understand both sides. Breastfeeding isn't always easy, but I believe it's at least worth trying! Please help me celebrate World Breastfeeding Week by sharing your tips, questions, concerns, product recommendations, or anything else breastfeeding and pumping related!
