Go to your settings and see if you have it set to only download over WiFi. When they are all downloaded go to the side bar and click free up space and it will delete all pics stored on your phone and they will be only on Google photos

@kellyt23, I see this do u mean in my phone settings or in a setting on google photos. Also I have wifi at home and never leave my house

Go into back up and sync and see what it says

If you're comfortable with it.. Go ahead and switch it to download using data to get all of them backed up at first and then switch it back off and it should download any new pics you take automatically

@kellyt23, ok so I switched it to these before I leave my house I will make sure and turn it back that way it won't waste my data plan bc I'm conservative bc I only have 6g for hubby and I to share. So now it should work faster? If I have wifi why has it taken so long? Also they is no way I can loose them are u 100% sure bc they r my pregnancy pics and sons birth and I'm just terrified to loose them
