I’m 32 weeks pregnant with my second child, a little girl. When i was 25 wks 4 days, I called the OB unit at the hospital complaining of rib pain and heart palpitations. They urged me to come in thinking I had damaged my uterus somehow. However, when I got there and they ran tests, my uterus and the little one were both fine. They turfed me to the ER, and the pain just got worse and worse. Turns out I was having a pulmonary embolism, a blood clot in my right lung, and was on the verge of my heart stopping and me dying. After extensive tests and many needles being shoved into my body, I was admitted into the OB ward to stay monitored and now have to have injections in my belly twice a day. I’m on extreme amounts of blood thinners and they are taking the little girl early, at about 37 weeks. I also just found out that I have partial placenta previa. Things haven't really been discussed about that yet, though. The plan at first was to induce me at 37 weeks and keep me heavily monitored for more blood clots. I also have to have ultrasounds every week until right before delivery to make sure our little girl is still growing. She's healthy, though. The last ultrasound showed she was healthy. Anyway, they're not sure my heart and lungs can take a c-section. That's a major surgery and my body is weak, but you can't deliver with placenta previa. I'm scared and I don't know whats going to happen. They told me to get my power of attorney and last will and testament finished before I deliver. A special doctor came to us while I was in the hospital and told my husband he has to be prepared to make hard decisions. I don't want this to happen anymore. I can't breathe and I'm tired all the time. I'm so weak and things are so hard to do. But I have to do it. I have to stay strong for my boys and for my baby. She's still healthy, she can still make it. I have to give her a fighting chance.

@mcrowell0970 if it was marginal placenta previa, there woukd be a light chance but not with partial. It's all very confusing. It would be extremely dangerous to do a c-section, but if it's what they have to do, then I guess I'll just have to get it done. Thank you for the prayers @mami1234 @raquely

@dezziesmomma, 😭I'm so sorry my heart is breaking for u. I have no clue what all that means bc I have slim medical knowledge and had an easy pregnancy and delivery but it sounds like we need to start a prayer circle for u and your family. @mcrowell0970 I am at a heightened risk for hemorrhaging during child birth because of the blood thinners, but I can't stop them because of the clot in my lungs. Thankfully, none of the medicine I'm on affects the baby and she's going to be okay from this. The only thing they are worried about is a blood clot in the umbilical cord or brain development issues because of a lack of oxygen from me.
