Hey 😊 I just wanted to share my personal experience with the mirena iud to any ladies out there that were thinking of trying it:

I had my iud placed right after delivery and had it for 6 months. I bled every single day it literally never stopped. On top of that I had horrible headaches and stomach aches constantly. I was told to wait it out because the symptoms would subside but they never did, so I recently had it removed which was a process in itself because I had to have an ultrasound to see where it was! After having it removed the bleeding stopped after three days. My stomach felt better almost immediately and I haven't had a headache since. It may have just been psychological but I honestly felt so much better right after removal. Also my libido is a lot higher than it ever was with the mirena in.

To summarize, it just wasn't right for me. I recommend doing your research before having it placed because the symptoms suck and it does not feel good coming out lol

@katrinaj843, I'm sorry didn't mean to scare you! It's different for everyone some women like it. I'd just research it and see if the pros outweigh the cons

@teniera, lol right! It really did suck tho. I'd rather take the pills. I didn't do research or hear any reviews so I went in pretty blind

Short Luteal Phase?

I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
