Help! My child is going bald is this normal for her hair to just fall out? And how can I get it to grow back?

I need some advice on moms with daughters or sons with curly hair. Ill put a pic in so yall can see her hair. Yall are gonna laugh yalls ass off but i just bought my 1 year and 8 month old daughter a dew rag 😁🤣 Look, its the only other thing i can think of to prevent her hair from getting soooo knoty! I brush her hair everyday but the thing is, she will literally do headstands, backflips etc and she rubs her head on the couch as like, a comfort thing i guess?

I just noticed I have another bald spot on the bottom of my hair. And obviously I have the one on the top. It’s embarrassing because I have to part my hair differently to not notice the bald spots. Has anybody else gone thru this? What are any remedies to make it grow back? Since my hair is long, I’m planning on cutting it off 3 inches. I’m hoping at least it will help!

Light or dark? My natural color is dark but my current hair is the picture on the left. I need to get it done (as you can see) because my roots are growing. I'm just not sure if I should stay light or go back to dark.
