Thoughts on flu shot for babies 1 or under. I denied that shot for Kacey but the doctor of course harassed me about it,…

Any kind of vaccine, u as a mom need to do your research. Know to risk.

I got it for my son, he never got sick after it. But thats just me. The flu has killed people this year plus TONS of kids have gotten RSV so I just got the shot for an extra precaution. Mind you though my son is 14 months and has never even had a cold though.

It's entirely your decision to have your child get a flu shot or not. I let my son get a flu shot. My doctor does not give it under the age of one. So at his one year appointment he was given half of a dose then a month later we went back for the second dose. A child's first flu shot if they are 4 or under is given in 2 1/2 doses not to overwhelm the child's system.

My son is perfectly fine after the vaccine. I'll probably continue to get it for him until he can make the decision on his own.

I never gave my kids the flu shot at such a young age . I don't think it's necessary at all

I'm on the fence now, I used to be totally against it. However, about a month and a half ago I got the flu and pneumonia at the same time and it all hit in one day, to the point where I was hospitalized for a week. Had my son not been EBF he would've gotten it as well, no doubt. But thank god he never did! Neither of us got the shot this year and I feel like we will next year if he isn't breastfeeding, but I will definitely get it next year for myself.

I gave my son his flu shot and he's fine . Development all depends on the child. I've had all my shots and I'm fine but it's your choice ofcourse . At least you get the vaccines 😊😊.

@sherrynygirl, thank you ❤️ she was just annoying me. And I'm like I never deny anything but a flu shot is not something I want her having. She is to young. And they have to give them to her in two shots and that's not okay.

@elysiansmama, that's why. They have studies showing they it can mess with their brain development that young so I said no. I do any vaccines but that one I refused. And the doctor was harassing me over it and i just told her that I just didn't want to give her one. And that's my thoughts. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I have 3 son's..i have never done that..Dr s get pd when they sell that ...even adults who get shot get flu..don't let any dr make u feel guilty its YOUR child 👼

Here's my opinion-I say no need if you've already got their vac shots, their immune system is built to fight off illness on their own. I personally have never had it nor anyone in my family. I think the last time I had the flu was when I was a kid
