Izayah can drive me crazy 99.9% of the time. But when he listens & engages in awesome conversation with me, I'm proud to say that 100% of the information stays with him.
We were talking about his day at school just now. He mentions that his classmate was playing the touching private parts game. & something about being offered $5. I had to sit down and take that information in & ask him thoroughly wth he was saying. I called his teacher just to double check what the topic of this conversation was!
They role played and pretend to offer kids candy in return to not tell their parents about being touched. All the kids said yes, but izayah said no. Just this morning we were taking about stranger danger again. His teacher then offered him $5 and he still said no bc his mommy had money and can buy him candy if he wants it. He would run away and find the police!
I talk to him about everything you can imagine. I don't want the wrong person to brain wash my child and pervert his mind. He may not listen to me when I want him to shower or eat, but as long as he knows what to do in a moment of danger I'm ok with that...
You Are doing such a wonderful job with your son. This makes me happy to know parents actually teach their kids these things.
Omg give him a hug for me !! I'm so proud of him and you as a mom !!! My mother was the exact same way with me, and it came in handy once when I was 16 years old and a man followed me off the bus towards my house when I was walking home alone in the dark. Seriously. You are a wonderful mama!!❤
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Enjoying some fun in the sun ☀️
Don’t come for me about him not wearing a life jacket. I don’t want to hear it. He was fine 🙄
So my son seemed super excited when we came and got him. On the way home he was saying how there was this other teacher or whatever. So I sit down and start asking small questions like was she nice? Did you like it? Meet any friends? Things like that. He then tells me like it's no big deal ( bc my son likes everyone) that the teacher said he was stupid, and then wouldn't give him any cookies cuz he was bad and the kids said he was being a whiny baby.... Now he said this stuff like it was no big ...

My son just handed me this…. As an adult I made the decision not to get it and told him why I choose not to. Asked him if he knew anything about COVID or the vaccine and he said no all he knows it’s that it’s out there. At the end I asked him if he wants the vaccine I will sign the form if not we ignore it. He said no thank you 😊.
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer.
My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...
@bria @josiahsmommy16 thank you! It's easy having babies but raising kids is the hard part. I'm a very hands on type of mom. I may not have my personal shit all the way together like I would like but I do my best when it comes to my kids. If I'm not who else will.
