What we found was that many of our moms are paving their own way and they don’t settle for specific labels that tie them into one parenting ‘type’. Of the over 380 moms surveyed in the mom.life app, the consensus on their ‘mom life’ was that they:
Don’t place themselves under one parenting ‘umbrella’ – labels are generally avoided.
They embrace some things from their parents but, they pride themselves in paving their own way.
The mom.life moms were most like their moms when it comes to traditions, but they differed the most from their moms when it comes to discipline.

I am a SAHM at the moment while I wait for my sister and mother to get to the states since my daughter is on and does not talk yet I'm not trusting anyone with her but family because of what I had to go through as a child but once my mother and sister makes it I'm heading back to work I miss being able to spoil myself and now I want to spoil my baby....when it comes to discipline I do believe in the old school way spare the rod spoil the child and I am starting early I pop her on her hand when she want to start throwing Tantrum's because she wants something the onlything I won't do is beat my child till she has bruises like my mom did me or humiliate her on social media like these other parents there is such a thing as going too far

I've been the corporate working mom and the SAHM and now I've transitioned over to WAHM which gives me the best of both worlds. Although it's completely different to how my mom was and how she raised me she still supports me. The only thing really that I've adapted into raising my boys from my upbringing is the family traditions.
