He feels neglected. I was working at a stressful job and I couldn't handle it so I shut down emotionally and stop paying attention. During that time I never realized he needed me to be there for him too. I just hope we can work this out. We have been together for 14 years

Do you feel like this is a sudden decision, or have things been progressing as time went on? I feel like he owes you an explanation as to why he wants a break and why he's not happy. Is he extra stressed at work? Does he have family drama going on? Does he feel unappreciated? Finding the root of why he's not happy could help you and him both work things out. Marriage is hard. I'm fresh into my marriage and we've done through some stupid 💩 but we always talk things out and figure out what's best for us as a family unit.
