Olivia has a bottle every 2hrs of about 4-5oz. Does this seem too much or should i b doing it every 3hrs? She is now on…

@mother_of_humans we co-sleep which is probably the reason why im sleeping 🙈😂. But we are sleeping so im not too fussed a bout it just yet lol. She has little naps during the day but only 20min here n there x

@mother_of_humans awww shes a cutie. Olivia sleeps between 9-10hrs a night although not much during the day lol. On a good day she will drink between 3 to 5 oz at a push. X

Just go along with her hun dont worry as long as she has wet nappies and gaining weight she's fine! Just burp her a lot and look into pace feeding and that way u might know if she's still hungry or not.. formula also keeps babies less satiesfied thats why they have bigger amounts than breastfed babies x

I went to gp said I was overfeeding and was told to gage it on giving his normal ounce, burping him then giving him his dummy as sometimes they use the bottle as a comforter rather than because they are hungry maybe try that to help you @missy84

@apunini that does make sense. She has a dummy but im just constantly worried about over n underfeeding her as it changes everyday. Thank you,i always keep eye contact with her during bottle feeding. Xx

Depending on the time he got up it was between 6 and 8 bottles a day, he never took more than 5 oz in a bottle either. He's never been overweight either just a hungry baby 😄. I guess if she's hungry she will drink the milk but if you think it's too much just cut out a few oz and see if she asks for more xx

The thing is you probably notice she will also comfort suck on the boob wich she wil think she might be doing with the bottle but still drinking=overfeeding. Do you also pacefeed.would perhaps be better as shes also breastfed. If she just shows signs of wanting boob she might just want to comfort suck and some time close to you. Make sure when u feed her a bottle you always keep eye contact like with breastfeeding x

@abbiiqx how many bottles was he having a day? Weve only been on formula for 2wks so its all a bit up in the air but im scared to overfeed her x

@apunini oh lord. I do burp her inbetween n sometimes she takes the rest but other times doesnt. She usually starts rotting for boob straight after which leaves very confused xx

My little one used to have 5 oz every 2 hours through the day (slept through the night) and only dropped them and went longer when I started weaning him ☺ xx

Babies can overfeed.. sometimes babies do take a bottle specially if breastfed even if their not hungry anymore.. be carefull as overfeeding aint good and happens sooo often with formula fed babies. Try and burp her every 30ml as that burp pause will make her realise that she's full when shes really fullinstead of just eating&eating .. x

@winterbaby95 thank you. Just a bit paranoid shes having too much formula 🙈. I guess coz i was so used to breastfeeding on demand i never really knew how much or how little she was having.

If she takes it then she wants it :) she will leave it if she doesnt want it :) She's coming up to 4 months? Around 4 months they go through a growth spurt/developmental leap xx
