I seriously hate when people say "Dr's aren't up to date on any new stuff" what the fuck does that even mean!? They see so many things and so many kids that they have so much more knowledge than you can ever have but yet you did one Google search and got an answer that you hadn't heard from a Dr. It's called PRACTICING medicine. Which means they are continuously learning and changing their recommendations. Do you think Dr's just go through school and that's the end of their learning for their whole career??? Don't you have to get more training and certifications where you work? It's the same if not more so for a Dr because they have people lives in their hands. This makes no sense to me and it's really starting to get on my nerves. If I hear "Dr's don't know everything." or "Dr's can be wrong." again I'm gonna go off. I don't understand 😑😡😡

YESSSS! There are a lot of girls on here that say stuff like "my doctor doesn't know anything." and "the nurses didn't know what they were doing". It drives me crazy! I'm fully behind trusting in your gut, but I feel like some of these ladies have no idea.

Yeah, if you don't think your Dr knows anything then that's on you for not picking a better Dr that you trust. Why take your kid there if you know better? @jennatess

Its not that they are never wrong... It's that the know a whole lot more than any of us and they have literally seen it all @ashleydunn

My Dr is well versed in carseat safety. I was talking to friend about my ped saying Caroline can start solids and she went into the "do your research, Dr's don't know what they are talking aboit" shit. @ashleydunn

Mine said, if she can sit assisted/shows interest/doesn't gag on purees then she can have 2 or 3 tablespoons of purees once a week after formula feeding. I didn't mean to say solids in the other comment. The reason for starting before 6 months is to prevent allergies. And this is specifically recommended to her because she's not breastfed. She also said to put her on an iron supplement because she's on formula. So she explained the reasoning thoroughly and didn't jsut hand out orders. I like her a lot cause she helps me understand it all @ashleydunn

I'm sorry but doctors can be wrong. Yes they practice medicine and they continue to learn, but some doctors don't want to change how they've done stuff for years. And my OBGYN said I was full term at 37 weeks and full term isn't until 39 weeks. So I don't really agree with what you're saying. Sometimes they aren't up to date on things.

-_- I understand that. Once again... This shit makes my blood boil. Dr's don't know everything but they know a hell of a lot more than me and you. If you don't trust your Dr then that's on you and you should switch.. Not specifically saying you. Just as a general tip @dextersmama

I get that! But I had been going to her ever since I found out I was pregnant. And then at 37 weeks she said that and I wasn't about to switch doctors at that point. 😐

But I totally agree that you need to trust you doctor. There's good ones and there's bad ones. That's all I'm sayin.
