our food stamps got cancelled then we reapplied and Josh has since gotten more overtime and a fifty cent raise. Well they will only give us $126 for a month of groceries. We couldn't even stretch the $149 we were getting so How in the bleep do they think that lowering us will help? I don't know what to do. I've called to get a food voucher but they said they didn't have anymore available. I don't want to beg friends because that's not fair to them. I seriously feel like the government wants us to just starve ourselves half the month. I guess I need to start digging a hole to make a mud pie for dinner. I want to scream and runaway. Oh but it don't count that I'm growing a human being inside me. Nope that don't count that she has a heartbeat. Let the river of tears flow....

Okay good. Try googling churches in your area that does food banks, see if they have any mobile ones, or call and explain that you are pregnant and need help getting it to you? Maybe someone nice can deliver it?
Have you tried applying for WIC? It helps alot and its healthy stuff too, and you can get it until baby is 5 years old. Check into it. Wish you were closer , id give u a ride, i need to go to food pantry myself :/

lol I can eat beans a lot though I'm not a picky eater I make anything out of nothing if I have to
Girl i do bean burritos, scramble eggs with beans, beans with chorizo. Bean alone with cheese omg yum. Yes ramen noddles are cheap. @lae1988
@pinkblossom99, beans ramen noodles and get some peanut butter and crackers and bread those things will fill you up
I tried to get WIC when my boys were newborns to help with formula because the stuff they were on was expensive, my husband made $3 to much, I was so angry! It really sucks, Kroger has a lot of awesome coupons on their app, or Aldi is good if you don't mind random food brands, sorry that happened

@cubanese, they will up it once baby is born because the formula can also be bought with food stamps when I was receiving food stamps while I was pregnant with my last baby I was told mine would go up after she was born

Have you looked into food trucks and seeing if someone could give you a ride to the food truck
Short essence we have been eating spaghetti since last summer and macaroni and cheese with hamburger in it because that's the cheapest food we can buy. We haven't stopped eating it
@lae1988 I know I just did that because I can't handle anything else to stress me more right now. It's just so wrong that a woman growing a baby can't get the food she needs in her house to grow that baby and keep that baby healthy. The government really needs to Fuck off. I just don't know what else to do. If I could get to a church that has a food pantry I would but then I can't carry it on the bus by myself
Try making things like spaghetti ect.....so that way you will have left overs and won't have to cook everyday.
Now if you have one kid and two adults I don't think that amount sound right idk but the baby doesn't count until the baby is born that's just how they are
If you don't have any other kids and you are pregnant you will have to deal with what your getting once the baby is born the food stamps will go up also why would anyone bash y'all your husband pays taxes right if so he is pretty much paying for your food stamps the only time someone would get bashed is if neither parent is making An attempt to work and as of now your husband is doing what he needs for you and your baby so don't let anyone bash you ever
I just can't keep dealing with everything falling on top of us. I'm sick of never having food. Even when we had $149 we never could get it to go a full month. That was just buying the cheapest food to make like spaghetti and mac n cheese
Yes I'm on Wic, but that only goes so far and yes I've tried many times to get a food voucher they just keep telling me there are none available right now
Do you have a program called WIC available in your area?
I would recommend to stock up on canned foods and meat. It will last the longest
