Okay guys so This is my first pregnancy and I'm not sure what to expect as far as labor goes. What happened to you guys before you went into labor/what made you realize that you were in labor? Like what were your symptoms? I know everyone is different but I feel like if I get this insight from other mommas it might make me feel more at ease to know when to go to the hospital.
I almost didn't go to the hospital with my first I was having pain all day but it wasn't sharp pains at all it barely hurt and the doctors kept saying if it's real contractions you won't be able to sleep through it.... basically I slept all day through the contractions from 8 a.m. until 5 in the afternoon when my husband got home from work I then went to the bathroom and saw a brown mucus (mucus plug) got scared from not know what it was so I went to the hospital and I was already 4cm almost 5cm dilated. My son was completely different I woke up at 3 am with pains I couldn't stand counted them for an hour and they got to the point where I needed to hold on to the door frame everytime I got one... went to the hospital was already 4cm almost 5cm dilated and my son was born at 7:51am so he didn't take long at all
I was having contractions that I thought were Braxton hicks, but got significantly worse and closer together. Nothing would soothe them, I constantly felt pressure like I had to use the bathroom but couldn't and I was puking.
I woke up at 5:08 am and me and the bed was soaking wet. It didn't smell like urine so I woke my family and told my husband my water broke. We headed to the hospital and I continued gushing fluid off and on. I was also having contractions. They weren't painful but they were strong. I was def in labor.
Before that I just felt great. I had no idea I would deliver at 38 weeks. I did nest about 2 weeks before I had her. And I had a scheduled" c-section.
Had pain at night. Took a shower, nothing helped. Fell asleep. Woke up w pain. Fell asleep after hours and woke up w more pains took another shower and it got to the point where I couldn't stand straight.
basically if you start getting contractions that don't go away start timing them if they are constant and getting closer together your in labor weither the contractions hurt really bad or not.... my daughter I didn't really feel pain the nurses were surprised at how well I was dealing with the contractions lol
