Destinee·Мама сына (9 лет)

I have co slept with my son since the day I brought him home and I absolutely love it, but now is is almost 9 months now and he is turning into a crazy sleeper he crawls in his sleep he's just everywhere on the bed, of course I'm extra cautious it still makes me nervous tho. So I think it's time I introduce him to his crib, I already know it's going to be hard having him sleep in it... any suggestions on what I can do to help him out when I lay him in there to sleep?

I did the same thing with my twins

Honestly once my kids fell asleep I'd put them on the playpen I never used the crib because they would hit their head on it really hard

My son is only 3 months old BUT i rock him to sleep, hold him for maybe 30 minutes while he sleeps and then i lay him in his own bed and he stays there until he wakes up, early in the morning to eat and be changed and then we co sleep for 3-5 hours. I NEVER let him start out in my bed, if he starts the night out on my bed i can never move him to his bed and have him stay there. So maybe just try rocking him to sleep and holding him for a bit and then lay him down.

I used to lay with them until they fell asleep and then transfer them to crib and put a blanket that smelled like me in with them. I would always have them nap in crib and if they would cry I would go in and lay them back down and pay them until they closed their eyes and sneak back out. It's a long transition for some kids and their will be tears but just adapt and see what works for you. Good luck mama

I just transitioned my 8 month old daughter into her play pen in our room at night and it was hard at first. She screamed alot the first night and i gave in a few nights but she then started sleeping all night or would wake up for a bottle and lay in the play pen while eating. she now sleeps in it every night and naps in her crib. I put cartoons on at night before bed and let her play in her play pen for a little while so she can tire herself out.

Start with having him take naps in his crib. Have a blanket or something that smells like you so he can snuggle with it. If he cries just go into the room lay him back down and tell him you love him then walk out. It's how I transitioned my daughter. It will be hard hearing him cry but with you going back into the room and laying him back down not picking him up it will work in the long run. Just remind him that you love him every so often and that he's ok. Eventually he will figure out that he's just going to sleep in the crib and then when he wakes up mama will come to play with me.

@desssss, I am in the same boat. I'm interested to see some of these answers too.
