Ladies ive been doing combined feeding for about a week now and its going really well. However I never know how many ounces to do because it changes all the time 🤔,feel like im wasting formula. Olivia will have between 3-5oz throughout the day inbetween breastfeeding. Does this seem normal? Thought she would be drinking more. The aim is to eventually keep breastfeeding for nightime only n formula during the day,im just slowly trying to ease her into it.

@west94 definately recommend it but just make sure baby is already used to bottle as that will make ur life easier x
Ouch i dont blame you for stopping ! Only asking as havent heard much of combined and seeing if its something id consider with my next one as i have a condition where no oxygen gets to my nipples so really hard to breast feed! Glad you are both happy !!@missy84 xx
@west94 i expressed for a few months but in the end i was always left with cracked,bleeding nipples and it just left me miserable. Didint want to stop compleletly hence why im doing combined feeding x

@west94 i want to keep breastfeeding for night time and i was getting very sore nipples from expressing so decided to do combined feeding 😊. Im no longer miserable n baby is happy to have both x

I am a HUGE breastfeeding advocate. No, I will NOT shame you if you decide to formula feed, and will not tolerate anyone else doing so on my post. Everyone has their own reasons on why they feed their child the way they see fit.
I think I'm going to do breastfeeding and see how he attaches to me & if not I'm going to put him on breastmilk formula.
OT. WIC and formula help please
We recieve WIC, and right now im breastfeeding, but Aleeyah has been refusing the breast for a week now. I didn't supplement for a couple of days thinking it was just a phase.. but those 2 days she nursed like twice and then only had solid food. so I started supplementing with formula. she gets 3-4 feedings from the breast and 3-4 of formula.

I am doing combination feeding since last thursday and I love it as I was feeling miserable too and had mastitis twice and nipple blisters etc. I have started with two bottles a day of 7 oz and today he had 3 bottles 2 of 7 oz and ine of 5 oz and hopefully in a few weeks I ll be able to only breastfeed at night :) x
