Why is my son constantly hungry during the night like he just ate 6 oz at 8, left an oz. then he woke up not even an hour later so I put him on the boob and he passed out then I put him in his crib and he wakes up so I make him
Another bottle and he's wolfing it down like he hasn't ate in ages. Sometimes I make bigger bottles like 8oz and sometimes he'll eat it and other times he'll only eat like 6oz but then he's hungry again. His doctor told me cause he's a "smaller" baby he might tend to be hungrier during the night and that's why he wakes up so much. He's not exactly small and he's on the growth charts accordingly. Yes I guess he should be bigger because he fell behind a little at 4 months but he's gained a lot. Just another reason of why he barely sleeps. Sigh, I figured by almost 7 months he'd be sleeping 5-6 hours atleast at a time. I'm lucky he sleeps an hour! I don't get it 😥 his doctor said keep doing what your doing but I feel like I'm missing something, or not doing something I should be...

@missjess my last ate every hour period for almost his first year and hes totally normal sized

How much did you feed him at a time? I feel like my breastmilk doesn't fill him
up. So that's usually why I stick to bottles during the night. @b3autifulm3ss,

@missjess no more than 6 oz at that age but i always fed him from the breast first

I wish I had advice I always feel so bad when i see you don't get sleep. You could always try cereal in the bottle to fill him up more

I'm not pacefeeding really. Usually he lets me know when he's full. I feel like he doesn't get enough from me or my milk doesn't fill him up during the day and that's why he's so hungry at night time. I see my lactation consultant tomorrow so I'm
Going to discuss it with her. Most of the time he only eats 6oz but that should still tidy him over for awhile. I don't want to be over feeding him but I'd feel like he'd let me know cause usually he does. @cubanese

I do do that @eryka616, idk what's up with him. I know he wants to sleep with me but he needs to sleep alone. But he seems hungry too and I feel like he doesn't get enough from me and maybe that's why but that's why I give him the night time bottle 😕 I guess I'll just see what the lactation consultant saids tomorrow.

Yeah it's my best bet. His doctor wasn't that helpful and I'm starting to get really discouraged breastfeeding cause I feel like he's not getting enough from me 🙁@cubanese

His diapers don't get as wet when he eats from me and it takes much longer. He refuses my right breast all the time and when I self express milk comes out so idk why he won't eat from it like nothing comes out for him. I had to start formula feeding because he fell behind on the weight charts 😞 I was exclusively bf up till that point. I feel like a lot of the time he's not satisfied after eating from me. I'm really really trying to keep with the breastfeeding and making him eat from me a whole lot more but I feel bad if he's not getting what he needs@cubanese,

Thank you! My lc told me they had one woman whose baby always refused her one Side so she just stopped forcing it and stuffed her bra on that side cause her other boob was full and big with milk lol @cubanese,

Yeah I'm definitely lop sided my one is like a b and the other a c. My son if I really enforce him he'll eventually eat off that side takes a lot of trying sometimes. so I just let him go on the other usually. @cubanese,
