Y'all my baby is sick runny nose and a bad cough.. according to the drs I just have to "let it ride" but I hate seeing her like this... any home remedies.
Ps I'm running the humidifier ,vapor rub, nose aspirator saline drops. You name it
@jatou it's not really a cough suppressant, it mostly just breaks up the congestion and mucus and makes it easier for them to get rid of it. I noticed when I used it her nose ran more and she coughed a little more but it really helped the mucus clear out instead of it just being stuck in there.
@shayyliynn I've seen it at Kroger (idk if you have Kroger lol), target, and Wal-Mart.
@shayyliynn, okay great. Hope she feels better soon. If you're nursing, try increasing the number of feedings so she's hydrated.
@shayyliynn, it's sold at Walmart, target, cvs and most stores check with her doctor before giving her any over the counter medicine tho. I remember my son's doctor saying the cough suppressants make things worse especially for babies less than 2.
Where do they sell zarbees? And yea that's good idea to keep her in the swing , if she lets me. She doesn't like sleeping alone 🙄🙄
Oh she's too young for the home remedy I used for my son when he had a cough. I mixed water with honey, lemon and black seed oil. It was magic.
Maybe try getting a lot of steam in your bathroom then sit in there with her to help clear the mucus. I pray that she gets well soon. It's not fun when baby is sick :(
It took about two and a half weeks for my daughter to completely get over hers. Longest two weeks of my life 😩 it got so bad that she was spitting up mucus and I rushed her to the ER bc I thought she was dying 😅 the throat congestion is the worst, she would choke on all the drainage bc she isn't so good at clearing her throat. Does she have a swing or anything that she could sleep in until she gets better, or even maybe a crib wedge? Keeping them more upright helps them sleep a little better bc all the mucus isn't just settling in one spot.
The Zarbees helped SO MUCH. Her nose was a bit more runny but it helped to get all the drainage and congestion out of her throat. They also make vapor baths for baby that help break up congestion.
Isabelle was like that for a couple of weeks and Zarbees cough and mucus helped a lot! We also gave her a small amount of Tylenol on nights that it was hard for her to sleep (not a full dose bc there was no fever), but of course we got the OK from her doctor first.
@scurlock.mommy, oooooh I understand now. Thanks for the enlightenment :)
