Hey everyone ....
my son just turned one !! And we got him a new car seat ... we purchase the Greco 4 ever seat ! We will be installing it tomrrow ... he will be rear facing of course ! My question is .... what are the guidelines for how the straps should fit on his shoulders ... I know with the infant carrier I heard it was sapost to rest above the shoulder !
son getting out of car seat So a couple days ago my son started getting himself out of his car seat while we are on the road. He will be 2 years old May 27th. He pushes the chest clip all the way down and pulls his arms and shoulders out of the straps but is still buckled at the waist. Today he did it 4 times, we had to pull over every time. What do you guys do when they start doing this? My Britax came with these long rubber strap covers but I took them off a while ago when he was to small for them. Are they to stop him from pushing the chest clip down? I just want to know if these will help before I take it apart to put them back on.
I am so incredibly grateful for my best friend. Last night she and I were in a car accident. I was driving and we got hit by a student driver. My car is totaled, I had to come out of pocket for a rental car. Both of my kids car seats were in the car and I’ve been stressing on how to buy new seats for them, she just told me that her and her husband bought us new car seats. I can’t stop crying.
I can’t wait to put my son forward facing in his car seat 👌🏼four more days
Starting TWW. Anyone else? I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer. My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk outside without this information. Children of color are being targeted and killed too. It’s not just adults. I let my son know we treat everyone equally and with respect. I let him know that we love everyone for their differences. In every aspect. Color, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual preference we love everyone.

Any time baby is rear facing the straps should rest at or below their shoulders, forward facing they should be at or above.

All of my doctors say they should rest right under the shoulder, but funny I just looked this car seat up for my little girl, let me know how you like it! 😊

@proudmomma7, thank you ! And I will ! So far we love it !!! It looks super comfy for him and I love how much use we can get out of it !! Up to 120lbs !
