I left at 36 and wish I stayed on a week or so sooner so I could have extra time with him I found a lot of the days very boring and long x

38weeks the first time & 35weeks the second time. I'm also a nursery nurse so the days did get long but once I was off I was bored. I wouldn't have gone earlier than 38weeks first time. It was nice finishing earlier second time as my eldest still went to nursery so I could get some rest! I'd also bare in mind if your returning to work the earlier you go on maternity leave the earlier you'll have to go back.

Yeah thats what i mean, another thing for me to consider is the wage and money i will receive before the baby is born as its my first child and not sure what i will be entitled to xxx

I left at 34 weeks

It's really down to you and how you feel. All depends on the type of job you have too. But I'd say 34/35 weeks is good so gives you time to relax and get everything ready for baby's arrival x

I'm a nursery nurse. I worked 10 hours a day. I kept 2 weeks of holiday and used those in front of my maternity leave so I left at 35 weeks. If I hadn't of I would of left at 37 weeks. Baby was born at 39 weeks xx

I finished at 38 weeks too! And wished I took it so much earlier, as I had a week before baby arrives and I was in hospital the last week@keeleyconlon, xx
