My sister refused to tell the name she choose to keep it a secret because she did not want any opinions... once the baby was born we found out the name!

If I have another I'm not gonna tell anyone the name until the baby is born to many people think they get a say

@mrsfreckles85 I got a lot of grief from strangers. Her name is Harper and they are just like.. That's interesting. And it's just a regular name. We were going to name her Roxanne cos the police are my jam, but Harper Jo Anna just flowed. Regardless, when you see your baby, you will know. Whether it be the name you picked out or a name that comes to mind when you see baby. It's your baby. And it's a great gift to be able to spend hours finding a name for this little being you're making. It's your right, people should respect it. Whether it plain Jane or exotic. It's your right.

I agree @kydensmommy! It just crushed my happy day yesterday. Like, why couldn't they just be happy for us?

The only people that have to like the name is you and your SO don't change the name for someone else and end up feeling like you named your baby the wrong thing.

I got that too with my son. I was told by my mom and in laws that he was gong to be teased with a name like Atlas. The rest of the world thinks that a pretty cool name. I say just keep it
