How Common Are Erratic Menstrual Cycles When Trying to Conceive?

I'm not sure how common it is because it isn't really a big thing I've looked into.... But how many other people deal with ridiculously erratic cycles? My cycle can last anywhere between 12 and 40+ days. I'm 23 and my doctor doesn't make it out to be a big deal. For me it's really aggravating because while DH and I are trying to conceive, this causes a drastic difference when trying to predict ovulation. Any tips to try and figure out the best time to try?

I was on Sprintec for a while but I stopped around Christmas. That medicine was the only way to make my cycles predictable to the day. Its been about 4 months now and my cycles are crazy just like they were before I started BC.

I really really hate the fact that I got stretch marks on my boobs. And it kinda bothers me when mommas tell me they are something to be proud of because it's my baby tattoos or my proof I was growing a miracle...I'm pretty sure once my son is in this world with me HE will be the proof I grew a miracle inside me. I know they try to make me feel better about it but there really is nothing beautiful about stretch marks! No matter how you put it.
