MOMS- birth control recommendation?
the pill or iud? I don't want to gain weight 😭
@sarahbelle, yea you should just give it a try! they might work for you and if not you just stop taking them. but i got really depressed and even had suicidal thoughts. i knew my hormones were all outta wack! it was crazy. i never had any issues like that what so ever before so i knew right away it had to be the birth control! i immediately stopped taking the pills after i knew it had to be them. and after that about a week later i felt "normal" again. i will never do the pills again lol
@tattooedmomma that's what I'm terrified of! I know how to lose and maintain my weight but I'm already 28 lbs over pre preg weight and I DO NOT want to gain more!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
@elaine.plus3 ugh right! everyone has such different results! 😣 I MIGHT just try to the pill for a few months and see if I have any wonky side affects and if I do then switch to the iud. what were your side affects of the pill?
buuuut from all the comments i just read it sounds like you shouldnt take anyones advice and just go with your gut and what you think will work for you. every one is different and has different reactions. i never had any issues with the mirena. i loved it!
IUD!! i hated the pill and all the werid side effects it gave me! i tired the pills, depo and the IUD. and ill be getting the IUD for sure!
@sarahbelle the copper IUD uses copper as a I guess a spermicide. Copper kill sperm. It lasts ten year. Mirena is the 5 year I believe and uses hormones to prevent. There is the implanon, that goes in your arm, lasts I think , a year or three. I can't remember, then there is the depo, you have to get a shot every 3 months. Then the pill, that you take everyday.
@bodaciousb6 what's the difference? I'm so clueless I've never used or studied bc lol
@sarahbelle the only IUD that doesn't have hormones is the paraguard. The 3 and 5 year have them.
I was always on NuvaRing since I was 17 starting up with it after pregnancy I became a raging monster. I switched to the IUD Paragard and I literally have never felt better in my life with it. Best decision I've ever made when it comes to birth control
