Can i get your opinions? my doctor is going out of town the week of my due date (April 13) he wants…

I had an induction! And it wasn't bad at all!

It's only 3 days before your due date so personally I would be ok with it!

The only downside to being induced is that the pitocin frikken hurts. I wasn't induced but I stopped progressing so they gave me pitocin. It made my contractions horrible lol but other than that induction really isn't any different than naturally. I don't really believe in induction for non medical reasons but I think it's whatever you want girl :) people are gonna tell you it hurts more but labor hurts period lol

Due dates are a random guess ...if there's no medical reason for it then he should let u be until your 41 weeks..my docter wanted to induce me just because my baby wasn't ready to come out at 40 weeks and said she'd be big..I told him I wanted to wait a week more (they won't let u go past 41-42)..so I waited till I was a few days over 41 weeks and got induced ..she wasn't even big! Only 7lbs..so don't let them boss you of u want to wait till 41 weeks go for it girly

I wouldn't see a problem with it my dr was out of town when I got induced with my son honestly it kinda sucked having someone else delivering my son because she put in all the work before then and didn't get to meet him till he was six weeks and the pain isn't that bad I slept through most of my contractions till after they broke my water

I wouldn't. When it came down to it right when you are pushing you really don't give a shit who is delivering the baby. Inducing can lead to so many issues and you may even deliver early on your own! I was 2 weeks early

Thanks everyone! I think I'm going to just let him come when he's ready. I don't really care who delivers him. Just want him to be ready on his own.
