Did all moms wait the full 6 weeks be4 having sex?

With my first I did only because I had 3rd° tears from having him. With my 2nd I didn't wait the whole 6 weeks

I'm a first time mom I did tear but they never told me how bad couldn't tell me how many stitches I needed

From what I've read, it takes at least 6 weeks for your cervix to close if you dilated, so you're risking infection by having sex before the six weeks. @crystalt

You're welcome. I don't know if I'd be able to wait that long, though maybe being long distance and already having experience waiting long periods of time between seeing my fiancée would help. Though I'd definitely be paranoid about infection. @crystalt

Yes waited as long as possible. I was terrified lol

Had c-section and waited about 5 weeks lol

Told my husband we will be waiting for 8 weeks. To be safe. Also having C-section and don't want to reopen incision this time like I did the first time.
