With my son they weren't painful. They were just uncomfortable. This time they suck lol

If they happen about the same amount apart, then it could be contractions, if they are random it's Braxton hicks

Time as in like start a stop watch when one cramp ends. End the stop watch when a new cramp begings.

@avie, probably Braxton hicks :) I'll be 39 Weeks this week and I've been have them for a good 4-5 weeks :) Not so fun but just practice ones for the real thing! ❤

No, I don't think it is. But pay attention to when the cramping starts. When it ends, time how long it takes until the next cramp begins. Write down the distance between each ending to the beginning of each cramp

Could be Braxton hicks. Just time it to be safe. Everyone is different. My mother said with me she didn't have any painful contraction untill she was like 6cm dilated with me.
