Opinions.
I'm pregnant with baby number 3 for me. It's boyfriends first kid, his mom's first grandkid, his grandma's first great grandkid. I didn't plan on having a baby shower, but his family wants to have one because it's everyone's first. Which is fine. I don't mind. I moved from Michigan to Kentucky a couple years ago, so none of my family or friends are here. For reasons that I can't figure out, they thought it'd be a good idea to have it at my work. Now, I'm a cna. I work at an assisted living place. Work has no problems with it being held here, they were going to throw a small one anyways for the employees. My thought is, my residents are like my family. I have so many adopted grandparents, it's ridiculous. They are always wanting updates on Mara and appointments and what not. So, I figure if it's going to be in this building anyways. Instead of having it in a back activities room. Have it in the main activities room and let my residents join in and have some fun too. But I also know, hanging out with the elderly makes some people uncomfortable. Were it my family they wouldn't care. They all work in Healthcare. But it's not something his family is used to
@xomommahicksxo @mommyof6griffins Boyfriend says to just do what I want, it's a thing for me. He won't be there anyways. They guys are all going to be off doing their own thing. In the end I might just end up telling his family that that's how it needs to be. I'd feel like an ass having it in my residents' home then excluding them from the party. I'll just cover the cost of the extra snacks we would need. And I'm sure my activities director would love to have a free activity for them
I think that is a good idea I would love to do something like that I'm also a cna and I can understand the attachment
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
