How long do people generally stay in hospital after birth? Packed my bag ages ago and I think I might have too much stuff, like do I really need two pairs of jim jams?

@sara-lou just changed my jim jams to old stuff (well one old pyjama bottoms, one joggies that I often use to sleep in), both black so I won't feel too hideous in them! I'll save my new ones for when I need to feel pretty at home haha, and I've done the same now for the baby... Packed a lil extra in a separate bag for me and baby in case I'm there longer. Thanks for your advice everyone! xx

I bought new pj's just night gowns. Nothing exciting just front primemark. I packed x3 of everything for baby. And again I had spare clothes in a bag at home ready for the hubby to bring in if I needed more.

@sara-lou, how many things would the baby need? Also, what should I do about new/old pyjamas lmfao?

You don't need to take loads I packed a suitcase first time. All I used was pj's and knickers and toiletries. I had an extra bag for baby. 2nd time I took a small bag for an overnight stay. Packed the basics which was plenty

I did take a towel for the shower. I don't think the hospital had towels for that... Maybe my hospital was just rubbish lol

@sara-lou, @missashleyanne, oh god I'm gonna end up packing even more stuff! Most of my old pyjamas hardly fit lmao but I don't want to ruin my new ones agh

I'd pack 2 pj's & plenty of knickers as you bleed a lot and honestly you'll want to change straight away if you can. But anything else extra yeh just get someone to bring in for you. Saves you taking too much.

@sara-lou, yeah, I just feel like I have too much stuff, even for the baby. My parents would be visiting every day anyway no matter how long I'm there for so I would definitely be able to get more stuff. I'm thinking the less stuff I have to take the better it'll be for my sanity, idk. When I went on the hospital checklist I ticked loads off but stuff like an old towel etc, are they really needed? Don't hospitals have some stuff? xx

I actually threw the ones in the bin as they got quite messy as you can imagine 😂

Definitely take 2 pairs of pj's. If you give birth wearing one (I did) you'll need a change straight away. Then I changed again after I'd showered. Even if you didn't you'll want to change as the hospitals can get quite hot & stuffy.

I took old stuff in old towel old knickers old everything that I didn't care about if got ruined and I could just throw away afterwards. One of my towels never made it home from the hospital. It's your choice what you take but that's my advice xx

It really depends on how your birth goes. Some women are out the same day if everything was fine & if they gave birth early. Otherwise your probably looking at least 1 night. Maybe 2 if had a c-section. I packed for 2days & 1night then had another bag at home which my husband could grab if I needed extra bits.

@missashleyanne, @lukesmummy2016, well I didn't know whether to just take one of things and have another bag packed at home in case more stuff is necessary, just because my bag is heavy enough as it is. Also I bought new pyjamas for the hospital but now I'm worried they'll get ruined but after birth the last thing I'll want to do is wear old grimy ones :/ so indecisive lol xx

Ive take two sets hun. You bleed quite a lot so just in case you need them or like I did I packed essentials and then pack a bag extras someone could bring in if needed x

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Transgender children So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do u think the parents are behind this? Idk because I haven't met the parents or children. I just think at 5 it's very young for children to really understand. What do u ladies think?
