Should I be offended that my lyft driver assumed I'm "poor" and I have an unplanned pregnancy with some guy I don't know? Cuz me and my ex were planning to have children in the future, it just happened sooner than planned, and I knew him for quite a while before I got pregnant. I'm also making a decent amount of money to get my baby what some people think are very expensive products. Plus a banker grandma who wants me to quit my job so she can support me and Keia and a mom moving up in the medical field. Despite this I don't need their help. I get that there's a stereotype about blacks getting pregnant and not knowing who the father is nd struggling to take care of them or whatever. But I know tons of black women who are happily married to the father of their children and WELL supported on their own. He knew nothing about me except that I have a young face and I'm pregnant. Don't start assuming shit.

All while I was at work I was upset and felt guilty cuz I am young and pregnant but I'm not unprepared. This is my dream come true. Since I was young I've wanted to be a mother. But I didn't plan it like this. And I feel like I'm letting my daughter down by not going to plan. He didn't even let me explain myself either. His mouth was like a machine gun shooting words at me. He said I'm a risk taker for getting pregnant with "that other guy." He said "you didn't know him. You don't know what he had even if he told you he didn't have anything. You just trusted his word, right? So if you can take a risk like that you can do anything. But if you don't you'll always stay broke and afraid of life. But me I took a risk and got married. And I faced my fear of life. I'm gonna become a pilot (then I asked him if he was actually going for it. He said) no cuz I'm not legal in the states yet." And this whole convo started by him asking what I wanted to do in life and I said either become an obstetrician or interior/exterior designer of homes.

That's insane I'm sorry you had to deal with that. Your situation is no ones business. I feel horrible that you even had to go through that.
What did he do, come out and ask if you knew who the father was or something??? Who would even think to ask that, or think it was appropriate TO ask?!? Yes, you should be offended. I'm offended and I don't even know you! But in the end he's a moron. You should report him to whatever system lyft has to deal with issues.
Its not even in his place to be talking to u about ur personal life...his job is to get you somewhere safe, if you paying him then he shouldn't be worrying about anything extra

Girl I would've given that lyft driver a horrible rating. People like that assuming shit disgust me. You are going to be bringing the most wonderful gift of all to this world and a damn lyft driver couldn't tell you otherwise.
