I'm a first time mom, and not really sure what the whole thing is with getting induced means. I've seen lots of moms post about it? Why do you have to get induced ? Is it for like an emergency or? Sorry if this is a dumb question.
It's for people who are well over their due date or have some type of emergency. My fluid levels dropped really bad so a regular prenatal appointment turned into me having my son that same day because it wasn't a safe environment for him
I was induced at 38 weeks because I have type 1 diabetes and that poses a risk of both big babies and stillbirth. So they like to get baby out as soon as they are term and ready to come out to lower those risks.
I was induced because I had preeclampsia so it was dangerous for me to stay pregnant. They give you medicine that speeds it up
I was induced at 39+4days my baby had an odd dip in heartbeat when I went in for check up. For me it wasn't a bad nor scary process I was still able to walk around and relax then my water broke a few hours after being induced baby came out beautifully!
Or if the doctor amd nurses want to speed the process along. With my first two pregnancy they induced me...but to me it felt like the pain got worst and felt even longer.. Thats why the last two pregnancy I waited soooooo long b4 going to the Hospital.... So when I get there They were like u can push so u almost there....
