Anyone else have a child with a speech delay? My daughter is 3.5 and gets tested in the morning and…

My son had a speech delay and we had someone come out and work with him and within a few months he was up to when he should be. It's going to be ok mama!

Thanks mamacole2.... You and I both know we never want to hear something may be wrong with our child. It's really been difficult for me to not feel like I should have helped her earlier. Her doctor was never concerned, so I just kept waiting.

I'm really hoping she can catch up quickly, but I'm not sure if it's just speech or a language processing disorder... urgh, I need to stop googling symptoms.

I work with students who have a speech delay. It's nothing to be afraid of. With the right guidance, they'll be speaking in no time. Hang in there!!

I have a 6 year old who started speech at 2 1/2 and at 4 was told he had apraxia. He is still in speech. Hang in their momma @danaisengaged

Thanks.. it's hard not to feel alone when I don't know any children with speech difficulties. I'm sure she's not alone though and neither am I.
