How many working moms are out there? Or saying that stay at home moms don't work, they do! I'm curious about how moms chose to go back to work or stayed home. I'm fighting with this decision and I hope I can peaceful make it before June or a little after. What's your thoughts?
@energizederica21, yeah it is. And I have past jobs that I can do. I was a sub for the high school and they keep my booked and I would have income if and when they called. I always could have that for my own schedule. But I'm just waiting right now.
@mommamarli, would being home with baby be an option for you?
@energizederica21, yeah I understand! I'm afraid that may happen to me. I have family for help but I wanna be there.
I couldn't make the decision with my first pregnancy until the baby was born. Ended up quitting my full time and went back to my part time for about 6 weeks and quit that one too! Even had my boyfriends mom watching my son for free, I couldn't handle the anxiety. Being a stay at home mom is the best job I've ever had ❤
Thanks for the replies! I see both sides of what y'all are saying. I do have family that told me they would help me out, but I'm kinda like @mari_contreras, @allyk.xmommy, about wanting to see them do everything lol. I do think at times o would get bored like @nessairieray, lol. It happens! And everyone who went back to work at times I think o would miss it but then again I dk lol. I think I want to stay home but yeah y'all are right I'll have to see and go with what feels right. Again thank yall.
I work when I want a PRN (as needed) job as a nurse so I pick what days Im want to go in...its hard being a SAHM and its hard leaving them. That gives me the best of both I feel. I usually work 2/12 hr shifts back to back then Im off for 5 days.
I thought I would want to jump back into work, so I was planning on taking 8 weeks off after baby was born. But here I am, four months later, with zero desire to go back to work. You just gotta do what feels right.
Im going back to work after I have my baby. I'm definitely not the stay at home type!
I'm a stay at home mommy and trust me it's so damn boring lol I would rather be working but daycare is super expensive
I was working for my oldest but got let go. I didn't work for 2 years and then when I had my youngest I worked full time for about 2 months then cut it to part time. Then that job cut my hours to 4 hours to no hours so I enjoyed staying home for basically 4 years. I now got let go of my job back in December because I was I'll from the pregnancy. I plan on not returning to work until I graduate from college.
We decided I would stay home because whatever I'd make by working would maybe cover daycare but not much else, and with the added time of dropping off, picking up, gas back and forth, and that my fiance works long hours and travels a lot last minute, it didn't make sense for us.
I chose to go back to work cause that's my personality. I have to have time to miss my kids and have a change of scenery. And my BF and I work opposite schedules so we don't have to pay daycare.
I would love to work, but I do not want anyone else watching my child especially with the way the world is today. Ive seen on the news and heard what awful things people do to their own babies and others. I would love to go back to work but I'm not trusting anyone!!!!! Lol@mommamarli
I stopped working right before my first born. I miss it, but daycare cost are CRAZY and i love being home with my son and watching everything he does
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
