My daughter is taking off her diaper and taking me too the potty on her own and when she poops in her diaper she will go to the bathroom she's almost 16 months should I try to start potty training or wait a few months
So I'm going to start potty training my 16 month old tomorrow. Anyone have any techniques that would help her learn? She already knows how to take her pants off, her diaper off, and she already knows what&where; the potty is.

Ok mommies my daughter is 1 1/2 and has been taking her diaper off every time she goes potty in it and when she can't get it off like if she has a full onesie sleeper on she pulls on it through the clothes think it's time to try potty training ?
How often should you take a child to the potty when potty training to get them to stop peeing in the diaper? She doesn't poop in her diaper and will yell and scream if I don't let her poop on a potty... now how do we get her to do this with pee?

I don't recommend pull ups but I don't bash mothers who decided to use them. 11.) Remember potty training is not taught in one day you have to be determined to potty train your child. Yes! Start! How exciting! I've been told as soon as they can sit up on their own try and start to train them.

@anmarie1, my mom did it with me and my sister. Once they can sit up, when you get up in the morning sit them on the potty . It obviously will take a little but it gets the ball rolling. Just a suggestion

@anmarie1, just depends on the kid. My daughter HATES dirty diapers. Even the slightest tinkle she gets mad. so in the morning I'll sit her on the potty, supervised of course, and she goes in the potty. Obviously she still goes in her diaper but it gets her used to going on the potty
