I am so excited to get to finally post my birth story. We were scheduled to be induced on February 23 at 9am. I started out completely closed and high. The doctors expected it to be a long 24 hour labor. I received Cytotec at 12pm and the contractions began at 1pm. Then received Pitocin at 6pm. Contractions were still going good with manageable pain. Around 9-10pm they started getting too intense. I received medication through my IV. After that wore off, my water broke. That is when all hell broke loose. I was having horrible contractions every minute. So bad that I was screaming and crying and on the verge of passing out from the pain. I was so set on going natural with no pain medication, but the epidural saved my life. After being in labor for so long, I was finally able to sleep for 2 hours. My little girl was shortly born after that. February 24 at 542am, weighing 6 lbs 14 oz and 20.5 inches. We are so happy to finally have her here. Alayla Marie Gonzalez 🎀
