C-sections are REAL births.
This might seem obvious, but a lot of people don’t realize that they consider c-sections to be a lesser form of birth. That they are somehow inferior to those who have had vaginal deliveries. You are not a lesser mom because you had to have a c-section. Remember, you sacrificed yourself completely, you were CUT OPEN, so that your baby could have life. Be kind to yourself.
Read this earlier. Thought I'd share. I could have used this pep talk with my first child
@cclark289 @star_wars_freak_2010 @allyk.xmommy My first daughter was 7lbs 8oz and she was too big to fit through. Found that out after hours of miserableness. My pelvis just doesn't widen like it needs to. My son ended up being 10lbs. So there was no way that was happening. For most birthing/parenting choices I feel "to each their own" and try not to judge too much. So, I hate when people judge for something that most of us don't really have a choice about.
I had a c section twice first one baby was breach so I had no choice, second one I was going to try for a VBAC unfortunately my water broke and I didn't know it so it was over twelve hours before I knew it. So doctor gave me a choice of induction or csection but if I didn't give birth by morning I'd have a csection anyways. Figured since I wasn't really moving along very quickly I might as well get it over with so opted for csection. Now if I have another one it'll be automatic csection, which I'm not completely thrilled about but have accepted.
I hate hearing having a c section is a easy way out and not like pushing a baby out my son's father told me I was taken the easy way out but I'm so small I can't push him out I wasn't able 2 push my daughter out my doctor told me he was scared of decapitation her
