To say that I'm frustrated is an understatement. A month ago I was let go from my job at Academy Sports. My son has been sick with RSV, along with some other illnesses. I had to take off a number of days to keep Will at home. It's just me..my sons father is in prison. So I was let go due to absences. Unemployment denied my claim because, apparently, having to take days off to take care of your sick child is considered misconduct....really?!?i am sickened by all of this. I'm just trying to get through the day...I'm not asking for a lot.

I was only part time. I didn't accrue sick or vacay. And they don't accept dr notes as excused. It's really screwed up
Did you provide doctor notes? What's the policy regarding family sick leave? Isn't that protection by law?

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing.
