When is a good time to have a baby shower? And what is some good baby shower ideas?

I had mine at 36 weeks, and asked very one to bring a book for the baby in lieu of a card.

I had mine at 34 weeks. We sent out invites by email and told everyone to specifically buy from our registry and most people listened. And we had two showers... One for our family at 12 and one for our friends at 4. At the family one we just ate food and opened gifts and then at the friend one we chugged wine out of sippy cups and had a pinata game with fake pregnancy tests in it and whoever found the positive one got a prize. It was super fun

I'm having mine this Saturday I'll be 36 weeks on Tuesday. I'm having a boy and my theme is mustache & hats. It's girls only & in going be making mix drinks for all of those who can drink. Will be playing all kinds of crazy funny games.

Im doing it at 30 weeks which is in 3 weeks honestly the sooner the better because you get to wash all your babues clothes and gather your hospital bag and organize the bed and stuff plus youll most likely be in your last trimester and will be tired to do anything .

I think how you are doing with the pregnancy is a factor. I had a very tough preganancy last go around. Everyone pushed me to have it later like 34-36 weeks. But i had complications that made being pregnant exceptionally uncomfortable which ia what i kept telling everyone. "I dont really care when i just want to enjoy it and not be super uncomfortable. Well that didnt happen. Ended up aggreing and we had it at 35weeks 5 days. I endedup delivering 2 days later. And i was absolutely miserable the whole time
