Soooo my daughter just woke up for a feeding. Her eye was CRUSTED almost shut with green gunk! She's had this once before but it was never green. Her nose isn't stuffed up or anything anyone have any ideas what it could be?? She gets it randomly...guess I'll have to see if it does it again next time she gets up. Ugh I really don't want to take her to the doctor in this winter storm were having tomorrow (well today I guess lol)

Probably her tear duct wipe it with a warm rag both my boys had it as babys

It's gonna miss us! :) and yes I'd take her in. Probably an infection :/

Kyler got that a lot when she was a baby. Her doctor prescribed and eye ointment and it worked immediately. I think it was called erythromycin

Block tear ducts my daughter had it since birth we were prescribed eye drops seems to be the only thing that helps she wakes up with gunk and a swollen eye. The doctor also said to use a warm cloth and message it.

Do you think I can wait til the 6th for her 2 month check up? It seems to be better now I was cleaning it this morning often @desi720

Yes if it's (blocked tear ducts) there is no urgency there. They are suppose to open up on its own eventually. (6 months+) could be hereditary my mother inlaw told me all her kids had the same thing. Continue to message the inner eye with a warm damped cloth. I sometimes place it there for a few seconds a couple times a day. If she doesn't seem to be in any discomfort she is ok. If she develops a fever or you get really worried about it go to the ER.
