Hi moms ! My daughter has a yeast infection on her neck , and all in the rolls under her neck from all the excess slobber and moisture . I'm using her nystantin ointment and it's seems as if it's getting a bit worse .... it could just be the way it works . Any other tips on how to get rid of This ?

You should use hydrocortisone it works I used it on my daughter when she had it but make sure to use a little bit they say it makes the babies nauseas @cambrialatrece97,

@cambrialatrece97, my son is currently going through the same thing. He has a yeast infection on his groin and tushy. We're on our second refill of Nystatin and it's still not gone. His tushy became so raw that it started cracking and bleeding, so our pediatrician recommended using Lotrimin AF Cream, which is made for Athlete's Foot, together with the Nystatin. You may be able to try it on your daughter's neck, but I would call your pediatrician's office to see what they recommend first.

@jennatess, I'm so glad you said not to use the cornstarch powder because that was going to be my next alternative . I'm going to keep up with the nystatin & if it doesn't get better then I'll make another app. As I thought ! Thank you so much !

Do not put any powders or starch on it! I know someone will recommend that, and it only makes it look better for a second, but then gets worse. The yeast literally feasts on starch, helping it grow. Keep up with the Nystantin, and keep the area dry. if it's not gone in 24 more hours, I'd just make another pediatrician appointment and have her seen again.
