It's nice to have someone who actually understands. A lot of people try to or say they do but they just can't fully grasp it. It's hard to not have hope that they'll change. Especially when a kid is so life changing that they should. I used to think my son was the miracle baby that would get him to grow up so we could be a family. But if they don't take care of one they're not going to take care of another. I think we earn our rights as moms by being the one to sacrifice everything from the beginning and they think they deserve the right to pop in and out of a kid's life as they please just because one of their little swimmers made it all the way?? I'm making him earn it in order to protect my son. He's got to get a lawyer, prove paternity, get a job, take some parenting and anger management classes as well as random drug tests to make sure he's staying off the dope. It's ridiculous but I feel it's what I have to do because if he put forth any effort it would be for his son and not just to pull me back in and control me again with all of his bullshit. It's really sad to say but if they don't build a bond now, then my son won't feel like a part of him is missing later..

Exactly 😍 I will be damned if he turns out anything like him. Seriously he's 30 years old and lives in his moms basement.. and his kid lives upstairs because his mom raises her and he still manages to go days without seeing her and they're in the same flipping house! At least there are actually good guys out there still who are more than happy to be a family and love your kid as their own.
