I need advice..

I really REALLY want a vaginal birth mainly because I don't want to try to heal from a c-section and have to take care of the twins afterwards and it seems like it will be very complicated.

BUT the issue is that one baby is breech. While there is a doctor in the building that will deliver a breech baby, I'm a bit worried about how that will turn out.

SO, my OB gave me a choice:

Either come in on March 21st and deliver vaginally with one baby being breech

OR

Come in on the March 23rd and have a c-section.

What are your opinions?? (BTW my birthday is March 24...little side note)

@deckroth2001 it would be a totally different story if it was just one.. @twinmommabellahali and @deckroth2001 I don't want one baby being delivered vaginally and then them having to give me a c-section. . That for sure will be horrible

My doctor says I can deliver with one breech, maybe the baby will turn after one comes out. If not, we'll already be in the operation room ready for an emergency c section. I really want to give birth vaginally like you.

A planned c section will be WAY better than an emergency one remember that.

I just don't think I'd risk it. You or one of the babies could be harmed trying to deliver vaginally. Idk. It just seems scary to me

@alanasmommy2016 That's also what I'm afraid of.. a complicated process.. to me trying
to deliver vaginally at this point seems impossible. but since they're giving me a choice I fee like more can be done.. idk I may just options for a c-section

Don't do that. It'll make it worse. At least you get to choose. My labor experience was not fun. I went in, was dilating normally, got to a 7 and got stuck for 3 hours, then dilated to a 9 and wouldn't go past that. My daughters head was in the birth canal but her body was turned sideways. Tried pushing and she wasn't coming out. After 11.5 hours of labor, I had to go back for a c section. I had already had a epidural at 6 cm but it was wearing off. I got in the surgery room, and they gave me 3 doses of additional anesthetic and it still didn't numb me to where they could do the surgery so they had to completely put me to sleep so the daddy couldn't be in the room. Neither of us got to see our daughter be born, hear her first cry, or cut her cord. I'm just grateful she made it out safe and healthy. That's why I suggest the c section so you don't have to go through what I went through if it doesn't go as planned.

I wouldn't risk it. I was also scared of having a c-section because of the recovery mainly. But after 3 failed induction I'm glad I ended with a c-section. I'm a nervous wreck and I wanted to see my baby healthy and avoid any complications. I recovered so quick too, my only issue was that my bed is too damn high to get out of bed and stuff. My husband helped me so much.

@jacesterlingsmommy My OB says most likely he won't turn because he's out of room(since there's 2) They usually don't try to turn babies when there's two. I really want to know other moms experiences with delivering their babies breech.

Well the hardest part of recovery was a few weeks, after that, I didn't have the pain I did have before. They do give you a lot of pain medicine too. They don't help completely but they are useful. The hardest part, where the most pain happens, is when you go from a sitting position to a standing position. You get sharp pains at the incision area. It hurts but it's not too unbearable. You just have to pace yourself.

You still have a few weeks left yet for baby to turn. Have they talked about turning baby manually? I know several women on here have delivered breech babies before.

Honestly I'm not sure trying to have it breech would even be safe for you or the babies. I had a emergency c section with my daughter so I understand your concern there. I personally would go with c section. It is extremely hard to care for a baby afterwards but it's not impossible. I just don't think I would be confident going into labor and not knowing what is going to happen or if yall will all come out safe and healthy. At least with a c section, you know the outcome will be the health of the babies.
