Could teething cause my son to poop more than usual?
For the past 2-3 days he has pooped at least 4-5 times throughout the day. He has been chewing on his hands more and seems to have more drool but he's been doing that for a month now so idk why the pooping has increased.
**edit to say he is 3 months old, turns 4 months old on the 9th of March.**

Salivatiry glands develop around 3 months and people often confuse it for teething since it adds more drool. It's likely he's teething since his poop is crazy. Despite him teething, teeth may not begin to erupt up til 6-16m.

@jasholbert, yeah I was thinking this may just be the beginning stages since he's formula fed and has been on the same one for the past 2 months I don't think it's a stomach bug (nobody else has upset stomach at home either) so that's why I'm thinking maybe teething is starting

My son got diarrhea and was chewing on anything and everything the week or 2 before his tooth came in. Although they put everything in the mouth at that age anyway but yeah pooping more could be a sign.
