Hey ladies so I don't know if it's just me but does anyone else find it difficult to leave their little one with anyone? My son is 7 months tomorrow and since I've had him I've never left him alone with anyone. I can't bare the thought of him being upset when I'm not around 😭. At first everyone would make a joke about it but now they make hurtful comments that genuinely upset me. Like how they'll take my son away from me and force me to get used to it. I know I probably sound ridiculously silly but I've never asked for help and thankfully my son has never given me any problems. I'm just worried that I'm the only mother who feels like they can't let go for even an hour 😣!
@emmaclark, thank you Hun. Your so sweet! And yeah for sure that's exactly why we have them! I hope you get through it too, stay strong and I'm here if you want to talk or even rant ☺️ xx
that's okay, i can't give advice on many things but the things you have said really ring true with me, i couldn't just scroll past😘 absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to be with our babies as much as we can, that's why we have them after all!! make the most of it and ignore anyone who says otherwise💖
@ells123, awww thank you Hun. Yeah I know it really is sad. I know some ladies who leave their children in god are from 7 in the morning till 6 in the evening. Makes me feel so sad for the children 😣!! xxxx
@firsttimemummy86, @ells123, @mezaab, @chesscalouise2, @emmaclark, thank you so much for all your kind words ladies! Your words have really made me realise I'm not a bad mother for wanting to keep my son with me and I should continue to stand my ground. You ladies are legit the sweetest women and I can tell you're all amazing mothers 💕 xx
@mullika91, i can sympathise with that part so much too!! i still have certain family members who still try to bend my rules and make me feel like a really crappy parent but i'm only now starting to stand my ground, it's hard to with certain people but it really helps! you know best and you just have to remember that he's your baby not theirs, even if they've had ten of their own children you still know your child better than they do! i've been through/going through the exact same, so i can understand why you don't want to leave him!! my advice would be, like others have said, find a person like your mum or someone who listens to you and you trust(for me this person is my big sister), and even just do an hour here and there, it doesn't need to be a full overnight stay first time or any time soon! do it when you feel ready at your own pace xx
@mullika91 my daughter is nearly one shes been away from me about 4 times and only for a few hours and also only ever been anywhere with her dad my partner once without me doesn't bother him that hes not really been out with her without me and also the four times my daughter has been away from me shes been in our house never anyone else's without us your son is your baby do what you think is best because it is what is best for your son! I might sound ridiculous but my daughter is happy and healthy😁 if your not ready for him to be away from you then thats fine hes your baby x @mullika91
I have not had my baby yet. But I am already thinking I would never leave it with anybody else It's a natural motherly thought @mullika91,
your a good mother for not leaving him! i
I know so many women who don't leave their children with anyone. People will always talk, let them. Your child your choice simple! If your a working mum its different but you don't need care then why put your child through that, once he starts nursery school he will settle.
@firsttimemummy86, I'm the same!! I don't see why I should have to leave him though. I've never needed to so why does everyone feel the need to make their comments. What's even more annoying is they've had their kids and did it their way but now with my child they think it's theirs 😒. Annoys me even more when they make me feel like I'm a bad mother for not leaving him
thats sad I was telling my husband I wouldnt leave my baby with anyone, unless of course theres an emergency, dont care what anyone says! lol
@ells123, lol I'm the exact same!! I told my husband that I'll let Zakariyya stay over at his grandparents once he starts talking properly. Lol 1. Because like you so I know he actually wants to stay and 2. Because he'll be old enough to tell me if something bad happened. Sadly the type of in laws I have I wouldn't be surprised. When I tell them he needs to feed, change or even sleep they refuse to let me sort him out. So how will they be when I'm not around 😣 xxx
@sara-lou, I don't think I'll be letting him stay over with anyone any time soon. I just don't trust anyone enough. I mean my mum and sister do really well with him so it'll most likely be my sister who takes care of him when I go into hospital. My sister comes over often and helps me out as much as she can. Even then I feel guilty. My lucky my son is well behaved tbh. It's just the comments I get it's so irritating 😣! I try not to let it get to me but being hormonal there's only so much I can put up with or even have the patience for 😣
If your happy how your doing things then ignore the comments. He's only 7months as you say so what's the rush in leaving him if you don't need or want to. The only thing I would suggest as you are having another baby, would be to think about who he's be going with when your in hospital. Maybe let him have a few play dates to get used to them. My eldest didn't stay overnight anywhere until he was 17months as I hadn't needed or wanted a 'night off' unit that point. Max was 4months Haha. You just do what you want when your ready for it. You have to grow a thick skin & stand your ground with how we choose to raise our kids & not let other people bother us with what they think.
@lishapomells, yeah I think that's what I'm going to do either my mum or my sister who know him best and know his routine too x
Loooool just try to think that he might be scared seeing you in pain so it's better if he stays with family. He will be fine just make sure u find someone like your mum that you really trust and just do that x
@lishapomells, I really hope it gets better because at this rate I'll be taking my son with me when I go into labour with my second one 😂 x
@emmaclark, that's exactly like me I don't want to miss a single thing lol but even more I don't trust people with him because I see how they are when I'm around. Even when I tell them not to do something they don't listen which just makes me not want to leave him even more! I'm currently 17 weeks pregnant and I'm so anxious about what I'll do when I go into labour and where he'll stay 😩! xx
my son is now a year old and i've only ever spent 3 nights away from him🙈(only ever with my sister) and apart from nursery twice a week since about November that's the only time i'm ever not with him. personally the hurtful comments don't help, i've had those kinds of things said to me as well and it only makes me not want to leave him even more. i think it's okay to be that mother that can't even go an hour, they're only small once and i don't like to miss anything🙊 of course it's good to have someone you can trust to take your baby if you ever desperately need a break xx
I'm exactly the same lol my daughters 3 months and I hate to be away from her I think it's just a mother thing. But it'll get better with time x
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

A Statement from Mom.Life:
Hey everyone!
Last night, a new user began messaging our moms asking for private pictures of toddlers and young children. This is obviously unacceptable behavior, and the account was banned immediately. Although thankfully extremely rare on Mom.Life, several users were understandably upset by this, so we wanted to clarify a few things:
First off, Mom.Life has an absolute zero tolerance policy for child abuse and those who would prey on children. We strive to ...
@ells123, awww that's so kind of you, I really hope so I'm sure you'll be an amazing mother to your little one too xxx
