On my Facebook there's a debate about going on a date. People are saying the women shouldn't expect…

I have always insisted on paying even when I was dating. Like my fiancé and I still fight over paying the bill!! Whether it's a birthday anniversary whatever: so we try to be fair and switch on and off with who pays. When we first got together and started going on dates every now and again I fought him on paying although he won I still at least offered!

After about a month of consistent dating I would then start to offer to pay and then I would offer to leave just the Tip lol but that was 9 years ago now

I guess I'm old fashioned but I feel if the man is asking you out, he should pay. I mean, my boyfriend used to pay for everything starting off but after being together a few months, we didn't really go on dates anymore so when wed go out, either one of us would pay. But if you're just dating and he's asking the woman out, he should pay. It's chivalry anyways.

If I invite him, I'm paying, id he invites me, he's paying. If it's a second date, split it, when things get serious, who ever grabs it first or split it. If he pays, I'll pay the tip, if I pay, he pays the tip. It's 2017 lol

I'd always offer to split the bill, some men would take me up on it, most wouldn't. Now he pays, but I don't work so it's not like I could anyway.

I mean me and my husband split it 50/50 i he pays for something..ill grab the next tab.. if the man wants to pay fine.. leave the tip , put gas in the car something..

If its the 1st date guy should pay & if we are officially dating then 50/50 me & my guy take each other out sometimes he pays & sometimes I pay.

My opinion is that whomever asks for the date should pay. Then you take turns if you continue to date.
