I want some opinions on being induced right at due date if you haven't gone into labor naturally…

@gabriellerose, I was induced 3 days before my due date and mine went really smooth I mean I know everyone is different but honestly I'm so glad I chose to be induced cause I was miserable and I serious think if I wouldn't have been induced I'd probably still be pregnant cause my child was being stubborn lol

@caseyann19, that's good to hear! I don't want him to stay in too long because I feel like that makes the risk of complications go up but I know being induced can make the risk of complications go up too so I'm so torn!!

I got induced at 40w cause my body wasn't doing anything. The Dr basically had to rip my baby out of my cause my body never progressed. I was in labor for 27 hrs. My daughter ended up in the nicu for 6 days... I don't know if things should have been done. Different but that's how my birth story ended up

First one I was induced with pitocin and they broke my water because I was too small and it went perfectly fine. 4 hr labor. Second one I was dilating and contracting before due date, but it all stopped and I wasn't progressing so I was induced 4 days past due date. With this one they only tore my water and an hour later my second was born.

@gabriellerose, yeah there are risks with both ways so really it all just depends on which one you feel better doing. I knew I was ready to be induced I had waited as long as possible and did all the tricks to try and go into labor on my own but I was only dilated to 2 and wasn't having contractions or anything so I knew that being induced was the better choice for me. Follow your heart instead of weighing out the pros and cons. Good luck with which ever way you choose tho! 😊
