My son recently hit his head on the corner of a dresser next to my bed. He was trying to grab something and slipped. I feel so bad and every time I look at him I want to cry. I can't help, but to think it's my fault. If I would've just moved him seconds before. He now has a black eye, but he is taking it like a champ. My husband and I ran to the hospital because we were scared and wanted to make sure no blood go in his eyes. I just feel like a bad mother and now I want to just put him in a bubble and never let him out 🙈 Has anyone else gone through an issue like this? Any advice?

I remember the first time my son got hurt. I called 911 for a little fall. The paramedics checked him out. And then said, "are you a first time mom"? I said, yes! They said, he's fine an left. I remember feeling like the worst mom ever! My friends and family who were parents gave a chuckle at me for weeks. Unfortunately, children get hurt. It's just part of life. I know it sucks! But it also teaches them their not invincible . As long as you take the necessary precautions after they get hurt. An he checks out fine. You and him will be okay. But I am super sorry your baby boy got hurt.😔 Just try give him extra love. An go easy on yourself it happens to all moms at point or another. Hang in their your doing your great! Your a wonderful mama don't doubt yourself!

@hfarb17, thank you for your kind words. I keep telling myself he's a boy and yes he will play rough, but I just hate seeing him hurt. Although he's playing, laughing and smiling now it's hard to see a one year old with a black eye.
